Ashkelon is under attack!
Ashkelon, a picturesque coastal city in Israel near Gaza, endures persistent threats and economic disruptions due to conflicts.
A significant 40% of its residents, or about 25,000 individuals, lack proper safety measures and financial stability.
Despite limited governmental aid and lack of tax incentives,
the city's community stands resilient, supporting Israel's defense.
We Need Your Help
We seek your vital donations for:
$6.25M Construction of a Protected community center to enhance resilience of citizens.
$6.25M Construction sheltered sports center, to enhance resilience of citizens.
$3.9M- for supporting 2,500 daily meals to support elderly and weak population
$325K per week for next 12 weeks ($130 per week per family).
$3.75M Construction of a sheltered Emergency Operations Center (including equipment and supplies).
$3.75M Construction of protected children day care.
$1.25M Construction of a sheltered trauma reduction and resilience center (animal therapy, in addition of other therapeutic activities, materials and equipment).
$1M for 16 new public small shelters and 10 mid-size public shelters.
$750K Public safety- Surveillance Cameras in Public Places, to help increase response in identifying rocket hits and potential terrorists attacks etc.
$500K for materials and work to recover damaged areas and beautify (concrete, wood, doors, sealing, materials, design etc...).
$250K for purchasing rescue equipment (flashlights, hacking equipment, shielding and any work to repair shelters).
$225K for 3 Four-wheel drive vehicles for security teams and Mayor team.
$200K purchase of Air conditioners for all public shelters and special zones to be prepare for disaster cases.
$150K purchase 4 mini excavators, with different type of instruments such as brush (for cleaning, damaged areas and properties demolition, roads and infrastructure.
$125K for armor and special weapons for emergency teams.
$125K for 2 JCB tracked excavators.
$125K purchase of 200 tablets to the municipality field teams.
$125K purchase kits for children in shelters (education materials, games, play mats etc..)
$100K - Van for emergency equipment transferring to shelters and damaged zones.
$75K purchase for 200 notebooks.
Thank you for supporting thus far the costs of funerals and shiva’s, for over 70 fallen members of our communities in Ashkelon and Sderot. We were able to support the purchase of shiva sukkah’s, plastic chairs, folding tables, hot platters, refrigerators, kettles, coolers, mats, electrical plugs and more.
Thank you for supporting the needs in public shelters, for unprotected and low-income citizens, including the purchase; emergency lights for public shelters, small generators for public shelters, large generators, standing fans, mattresses, miscellaneous supplies and materials (e.g. toys and games, blankets, assistance with purchase of games, puzzles, and arts and crafts) for 300 public shelters, daily food for shelters, recharging batteries for cell phones. As well as mobilizing and evacuating 90 families (500 people), whose homes were hit by rockets, to hotels in safe areas and providing food in the interim while a long-term solution is sought.
